4 Stars Fun for you and your child
This game is done well enough that even as a 40 year old father of a 5 year old girl, I don’t mind playing along as the 2nd player (although there are no “boy” characters). That’s actually one of the nice things about this game is that it integrates 2 players actively into the mix. Unfortunately, a lot of the movie or theme games seem primarily focused on 1 player action. The gameplay is simple enough my daughter can play on her own (really, it’s the first game she could handle on her own), but there is enough to it that I don’t mind playing along with her as well. Just display some patience with your child and enjoy playing along. Very smartly, player 2 can exit the game at any time (to make dinner, answer the phone, pick up your 2 yr old, etc.) and your child can keep right on playing as Player 1 without having to start over. If you have 2 kids (particularly, girls), it seems like a good choice for that as well… although I believe only Player 1 gets to choose her dress, hair, etc.
5 Stars my daughter would give it 5 stars, but I deduct 1/2 a star
After looking for a wii game on Amazon for my 3.5yr old daughter I decided to go with Disney Princess. My daughter was extremely excited to play it and was not disappointed. She enjoyed choosing the outfit for the princess. My daughter is a little young to manage both controllers on her own, so I usually handle the movement and let her wave the wand and press buttons. I’m certain she’ll be able to handle this on her own in the coming months and eventually move on to some of the harder settings within Disney Princess. The graphics are very nice. My only complaint is that at times the game gets bogged down with too much narrative. Sometimes I can sense that my daughter wants to skip over the storytelling and conversations and go right to the game playing. In any case, loves this game. I can recommend it for anyone with a child who’s in the ‘princess stage’.
5 Stars good fun for young girls
This games is nice for young girls. I have it for the Wii and Playstation. My young daughter enjoys playing it, so that is what counts. I doubt girls over age ten would like this game, so I do not recommend it for them. But it provides fun games for the little ones. It is not easy to find wholesome entertainment but this game provides it.
5 Stars Fun game for 6 and up
I bought this for my 3-1/2 yr old girl but it is a bit difficult for her. She is a little young for the Wii overall. My 6 yr old is able to play it and the younger one likes to watch and “help”. Neat game.
4 Stars Not too bad
This game is ok. I think it should be played by 10-15 year old girls. I played it for my toddlers. They were excited to see the princesses but they lost interest after a while because it takes so long. It was mostly very easy for me, but it would be very hard for a child to figure out.
