Wii Classic Controller Pro - White
Wii Classic Controller Pro - White

Simple. Intuitive. Easy to use. The Classic Controller Pro is designed to work together with the Wii Remote controller on the Wii video game system. Created for accessibility and comfort, the Classic Controller Pro blends design elements from game systems such as the NES, Super NES, and Nintendo 64 providing seamless play control for a wide range of games. The Classic Controller Pro is primarily used for playing Virtual Console games on the Wii Shop Channel (not compatible with Nintendo GameCube games). Also look on the back of Wii Game Disc packaging to see which games use the Classic Controller Pro.

5 Stars Works ok.
We bought this with the game console but realized we could do more with the motion sensor controller so we haven’t used it since that first time. However if you want the feel of the real Mario game (low tech) from the old days this will work great. It does hook into the wireless remote so you won’t have wires on the floor.
4 Stars Big improvement over the original.
Having played with the original classic controller I can say that the “Pro” version is miles better. If you play N64 games on a regular basis on your Wii, you need this controller. It was awkward to say the least to play N64 games on the first classic controller, my hands are somewhat large and would get sore when using it. If you mostly play NES or SNES games on your Wii then you probably don’t need this new controller.
PROS
_________
Buttons are more responsive.
Buttons are spaced further apart.(Good if you have larger hands.)
The handles really add to the fun when playing N64 or Genesis games.
The shoulder buttons are actually useful in their new positioning.
CONS
_________
Advantages over original controller are minimal when playing NES or SNES games.
Could they really not have made the controller compatible with the Gamecube controller ports? It kinda sucks to have the wiimote chained to it.
4 Stars Great Wii Accessory, I prefer the SNES controller though
Honestly, I play more NES and SNES games on my Wii than actual Wii games. This controller is great for SNES games, although I prefer the original. Controller has worked flawlessly, its just a bit bulky to me. I guess it doubles as a Gamecube controller too? Anyway, good value, works well - recommended over generic controllers that really aren’t that much cheaper anyway.
5 Stars The Kobayashi Report
I got this so I could play some games on the Wii that required this contoller. I really like this. A must have to those Wii owners who want to play some of the older games on their systems.
5 Stars Big Hands
I’ve been cursed with big hands. One modern invention that’s driven me crazy is the cell phone. Constantly getting smaller. Then came along the Wii classic controller. I bought two of them to play Mario Kart 64. My hand would cramp up after a few minutes. I bought these plastic clip on expander with bigger grips. This helped but was still a little too small. Then as if someone had read my mind someone built this new controller. I ordered them in a hurry. I can now play Mario Kart 64 cramp free. If you are also cursed with big man hands and enjoy playing some of the classics on Wii. I strongly recommend this controller. Plus the top buttons are all digital. A nice improvement over the spring ones on the first classic controller.
