Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is the final chapter in the saga of Solid Snake which sends him around the world in pursuit of his arch nemesis, Liquid Ocelot. Armed with new gadgets and abilities, Solid Snake must shift the tides of war into his favor, using the chaos of the battlefield to infiltrate deep into enemy territory. In his globetrotting final mission, Snake must sneak deep into enemy locations in the Middle East, South America, and other corners of the earth to foil Liquid Ocelots plans for total world domination.

Key Features:

  • MGS4 pushes the power of the PLAYSTATION 3 to its limits with cutting edge graphics and surround sound. It also aims to be the hallmark title for the new DUALSHOCK3 controller.
  • Command Snake in his final mission which spans the entire globe as he attempts to foil Liquid Ocelot and his massive army of PMCs.
  • Influence the tides of war through both passive and active means. Snake can directly aid local militia who engage invading PMCs soldiers, or encourage more fighting to slip past undetected amidst the commotion.
  • Unlock custom weapons and modifications as you trade weapons with your black market weapons dealer, Drebin.
  • Providing Snake with his most advanced stealth suit to date, OctoCamo, allows Snake to blend in with his environment as it digitally manifests nearby textures in real time.
  • Otacon is back to support Snake by providing new high tech gadgets, including Metal Gear Mk. II, the ultimate reconnaissance tool, and Solid Eye, which gives Snake real-time information on enemies and his surroundings.

5 Stars Great game even if your new to metal gear
This was the first game i beat on my ps3 and the first metal gear game i beat(except for metal gear acid!, which is non-canon and a card game). After beating this game i became a huge metal gear fan, and instantly dusted off my ps2 and beat metal gear solid 2, metal gear solid 3, the original metal gear solid on ps1 and metal gear solid portable ops on the psp. This game was so good i wanted to go back and play all the mgs games i had not played. Ive heard some people say if your not a metal gear fan steer clear of this game i disagree though. metal gear solid 4, was the first metal gear game i beat and the story made sense, the game play was so good i couldn’t put the controller down. After i beat metal gear 1,2,3, and PO, I went back and beat mgs 4 again and picked up on a lot of mgs inside jokes i completely missed on my first play thru. So my advice is get this game. Prior metal gear storyline knowledge is not a must, but does enhance the game. This game is so good it stands on its own as a great game and more then likely will make you a metal gear addict and make you want to play the older versions to fill in all the gaps.

5 Stars A short fanboy review
This game is definitely a must have for the Metal Gear fans out there. It answers alot of unanswered questions from the other Metal Gear games. But on the other hand, if you have never played all of the other Metal Gear Solid games before, you won’t understand a bit of what’s going on throughout the game. Gameplay is very solid and the story is unforgettable. The replay value of the game is wonderful and it’s very addictive in my opinion. So addictive that I literally beat the game 21 times. It’s just that good.
