User Ratings and Reviews

3 Stars Good game, but harder than you might think!
I bought this game for my 5 year old as one of the first Wii games. It is definitely NOT a game she could do initially by herself. It requires a lot of listening and following directions as to how to work the remote. It changes quite a lot during the adventure and therefore I found myself sitting with her during the whole game! Maybe after a few times of doing it she will eventually get it, however right now she still needs my help to play it. Fun, interactive and of course lot’s of Dora and Boots!

5 Stars Adult help not needed!
This game is perfect for our 5 year old and for our 7 year old with special needs. Why? Because the game is so simple that they don’t need adult supervision to play the game! they simply follow the motions of the on-screen guide that shows how to move the controller. the game is also very forgiving which minimizes frustration. A side benefit is that it does have a fair amount of motion, arm waving, up/down, etc. to exercise the kids.

That said, I do agree with another reviewer that this is very similar to the Diego game and for most people, one or the other is sufficient.

Bottom line, this game has provided hours of entertainment for our kids with only casual parent supervision - that is, we can actually do something else at the same time!

5 Stars Great game for it’s target audience.
I found this on Gold box offer and decided to give it a try for my 5-year old daughter who lives and breathes Dora.

Best purchase I have made for her in a long time. She absolutely loved it and had no problems completing the game in a few hours.

And I think that’s the whole point of the game. While you can spend 20-40 hours on a big game, kids do not have the patience to go through a long campaign; and the fact that they could complete the game gives them a big confidence boost.

The controls are simple (move the wiimote around to move, press 2 to jump or pick up something). And that’s about it.

5 Stars My 3 yr. old daughter loves this game!
I finally found a game that my 3 year old daughter can play on her own. The game is very easy to play and keeps her entertained.

5 Stars Fabulous for Toddlers!!
I purchased this game for my 3 year old daughter - she absolutely loves it. I love the fact that it has easy-to-follow instructions, a great “helper dude”, and is very interactive (as are all Wii games, I guess!). She truly enjoys “talking” with Dora and working her way through the adventure. I’m sure my 1 year old will play it as well, in a year or so!
